Psoriasis, plaque psoriasis

not infective!

It is important to notice, that this disease is not infective. In each case the skin is inflamed, even if it is invisible by the examination with the microcamera. Derpending on the severity of the problem, our guests can complain of painful, inlamed swellings, or dandruff. It can be associated with hair loss which can be seen by microcamera as alopecia with huge scars on the surface of the scalp. This means that from the surface of the scars new hair can not grow out.

With microcamera we can see a grey – greyish white irregular thickening and pointy haemorrhages. It can show up on some critical areas (parotid, neck, forehead) or on the whole scalp mor body. Most frequenly on other parts of body the disease is also visible (elbow, knees, arms).

In most of the cases the patient already knows about his/her disease.

Usually the predesposition is genetically inherited, but stress can increase the symptoms. Like the skin peeling, this is a frequent problem for students in the period of exams.

It requires a long-term treatment. Only symptomatic treatment exists and the symptoms can return everywhen.

We use usually the products with light-, and darkblue colour-codes, without using ampoules due to their alcohol content. If hair loss has already occured, we use Caduta (against hair loss) and Forfora Grassa (anti-inflammatory effect) hair masks.

Based on our experiance, in the first weeks of the treatment, the guests complain of a not-existing “dandruff” problem. Of course, it does not mean that the contitions woud show a wothening (however we shoud be prepared, that the patient can detect it as a worthening). It means actually, that the skin becomes softer, and the plaques fall out from the scalp. We should calm then our guest, that this is a temporary condition, and in progress of the therapy it will decline. Please keep in mind, that it is a possible effect which does not show in every case, but we should be prepared to handle it, if it would show up.

It is important to notice, that we do not examine hairbulbs at psoriasis, because due to the disease the hair bulbs are always dehydrated and distrophic, so the examination can not give us a relevant result.
